InPharm Association is the national professional voice of young pharmacists, supporting them in their education. InPharm is currently accepting nominations for the post of president and other members of committee.
The deadline for applications is December 10, 2009.
Pharmacy requires strong, consistent and knowledgeable leaders who are visible, inspire others and support professional pharmacy. Leadership plays a pivotal role in the lives of student pharmacists. Key attributes of a leader include being an: advocate for quality care, a collaborator, an articulate communicator, a mentor, a risk taker, a role model and a visionary. The President provides visionary leadership to his/her organization, as well as to the profession of pharmacy, and must have the authority and resources necessary to ensure pharmacy standards are met. Leadership is a shared responsibility. With the collective energy of shared leadership, pharmacists form strong networks and relationships that ultimately result in excellence.
Role of President (two-year term, 2010-2012)
- Chairs meetings of the InPharm Executive Committee and the Board of Directors as well as annual meetings
- Is one of the two official spokespersons for InPharm, the other one will be the secretary
- Is a member of the Assessment Strategies and Board of Directors.
- Must have dedication towards the development and growth of organization.
- Mobilize and promote membership and encourage/mentor all the InPharm committees

Procedure
Individual life and Associate members of InPharm are invited to submit their nominations for above nominations by December 10, 2009. Please e-mail to the secretary below the appropriate nomination form and required documentation, as listed on the nomination form, including:
- consent of the nominee to serve for a two-year term if elected;
- a recent photograph (colour, in a high-resolution electronic format);
- the nominee’s statement up to a maximum of 200 words for inclusion in an issue of InPharm Communique and on the website; and
- a curriculum vitae or one-page biography.
- include five (5) letters of support from InPharm members
